Children’s to Host Art Festival
Rajan Devadas , official photographer to world leaders and award-winning photojournalist, to be honored
| What: |
Children’s National Medical Center and New Horizons, the arts education and cultural enrichment program at Children's, will host its Annual Art Festival, featuring an art exhibition and opening reception titled “VISIONARIES.”
This year’s featured artist is Rajan Devadas, official photographer to world leaders and award-winning photojournalist. Devadas has photographed every U.S. president and every Indian leader who visited America since the 1960s and has received numerous honors and accolades from world organizations and national leaders, according to his biography.
The festival also celebrates community art/photography programs for at-risk youth. Art from Critical Exposure, Digital Sports DC, National Gallery’s High School Summer Institute, WVSA Arts Connection, along with a special exhibition from the Society for Arts in Health Care will be featured in “VISIONARIES.” |
