Children’s National Medical Center Celebrates Opening of New Outpatient Center in Anne Arundel July 15, 2004
Washington, DC – Children’s National Medical Center recently opened a new Outpatient Center in Annapolis, making it convenient for families in Anne Arundel County and the Eastern Shore to take advantage of the clinical expertise offered by Children’s.
The Annapolis Outpatient Center provides Cardiology, Endocrinology (diabetes only), Surgery, Neurology, Pulmonary, and Urology services. Future services available at the center will include Genetics, Nephrologry (beginning in September), Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine, and Allergy (available in January 2005).
“Children’s Outpatient Center allows families in Annapolis and surrounding areas to access Children’s National Medical Center’s highly skilled physicians and specialists in a location close to home,” said Edwin K. Zechman Jr., president and CEO of Children’s National Medical Center. “This center joins our other six Outpatient Centers in providing superior pediatric health care services in the area.”
“The Annapolis Outpatient Center is an integral part of collaborating with area physicians and medical team members to meet the health care needs of our local communities,” said Peter Holbrook, chief medical officer of Children’s National Medical Center.
