Children’s Public Relations team is committed to providing media with the most up-to-date information about Children's National Medical Center, as well as a wide range of pediatric health issues. The Public Relations staff is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm, to schedule interviews, provide background information and arrange media visits to the hospital.

After Hours
For patient condition reports after normal business hours, call 202-476-5000 and ask the operator to page the Public Relations person on call.

To ensure the privacy of our patients, a Public Relations representative must accompany media during all visits to Children’s National Medical Center’s main campus and all related sites.

 
    
 
Children’s Leadership Education In Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program (LEND) Receives Grant To Specialize In Autism - October 2, 2008
Washington, DC— The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded The District of Columbia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program at Children’s National Medical Center an expansion grant of $200,000 per year through 2011 to teach and prepare future leaders in the interdisciplinary treatment of autism and related developmental disabilities.

Child Health Advocacy Institute Executive Director Appointed to Pediatric Advisory Committee
Washington, DC - Dr. Joseph Wright, executive director of the Child Health Advocacy Institute and a professor of pediatrics, emergency medicine and health policy has been appointed to the 14 member Pediatric Advisory Committee of the Food and Drug Administration of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
