These excellent Vanderbilt documents seemed to begging for one single download option and therefore the Vanderbilt NICU Package was born. Out of respect for those documents and to decrease confusion the PoH NICU documents were taken off as an option from the Peds Library page.

7/21/02 — OK maybe its been there for a while but I just found the pdaMD products site. It is much better than it used to be with excellent products available and great variety. It was added to the publishers area on each page. Also added a few lines about the mobilePDR product it really is pretty nice and a real competitor for ePocrates. Also added a link to the NHLBI for their great site with palm ready guidelines.

6/30/02 — Dr. Scott Guthrie, Neonatology Fellow at Vanderbilt, recently emailed an update for the terrific Cochrane Neonatal Reviews as well as an excellent new file he calls NICU Pearls. Download them both from the Neonatology section of the Pediatric Handheld Library. Thanks to him for these very helpful iSilo documents. Also a few new pediatric programs surfaced. 3/28/02 — Adding full reviews of the core pediatric programs. Halfway there......

3/18/02 — Added Pocket Pediatrics from Lippencott, Williams & Wilkins. I have not seen the PDA version and it seems rather expensive for what it offers. Vindigo now charges $25 a year for its once free service, too bad... Harriet Lane Review added as well

3/2/02 — As if it wasn't plastered all over the site anyway, we are pleased to announce the award of "Site of the Month" from PDA Cortex. It is especially rewarding since they have such an amazing site that is a real asset to medical handhelds. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Also added a link on the New user guide page to a nice PowerPoint presentation on pediatric handheld use. Check it out.

2/18/02 — Added a few links to the newly named library page. That page seems to be becoming the best place to list all things available for the pediatric handheld. Joined the two sections with the PDA info. Hopefully it will promote easier use and simple browsing. Also shamelessly added a Comments and Commendations page.

1/31/02 — Many new programs and links added, I really like the new Chief Complaints in Pediatrics handbook it seems very helpful and a good direction for texts to be written for the handheld.

1/28/02 — Added a Parent's section (the beginning stages anyway)

1/1/02 — Consolidated a few of the pages and essentially placed all programs, files, and databases on one page organized by specialty. Hopefully a helpful change. Things just started to get a bit to spread out. Harriet Lane Handbook , by Skyscape is taking orders but saying it will not ship until Mid January. On the Top 5 Page - Updated Recommendations and Prices for handhelds and also moved Handheld Med down on the list of helpful programs for any medical handheld. They have been very difficult to deal with and I have heard many other reports of trouble with their customer service. Football - Sooners beat the Hogs, too bad they are not playing on the 3rd!

11/23/01 — Harriet Lane Handbook Skyscape reports they will revise their previously offered product with a more complete version soon. Stay Tuned!

11/7/01 — The Sanford Guide. This is an excellent example of successful translation of a pocket book into the handheld format. It's all in there and the navigation is intuitive.

11/7/01 — PediTracker — Geared towards tracking of newborns. It is helpful to organize bili levels, primary pediatricians, and more. Also there is a beam feature to use as a sign - out function.

11/7/01 — Minor tinkering to layout (deleted Search Page and added the form to the bottom on the Home Page). Also added an ID section to the Peds Programs page with future plans of adding Adolescent, Cardiology, GI, Nephrology, and NICU sections

10/20/01 — The Harriet Lane Handbook is Here! — For everyone who has asked, "Where can I find a PDA version of the trusty Harriet Lane?" Skyscape products has delivered a decent layout for this classic pediatric text.
