Dialysis Unit

The Dialysis Unit provides services to infants, children and young adults requiring renal replacement therapies for acute or chronic renal failure. Patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) receive hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments in both inpatient and outpatient settings as needed.
Nurses in the Dialysis Unit provide pediatric hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home peritoneal dialysis training, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
All dialysis nurses are members of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and 75 percent are certified as nephrology nurses.
