Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The NICU is a 54 bed, regional Level IIIC referral center. Care is delivered to infants and families transported from National and International referral sources. The patient age ranges typically from extremely premature to full-term and beyond. Comprehensive services include medical-surgical care for infants with conditions including but not limited to: persistent pulmonary hypertension, prematurity including extremely low birth weight, surgical diagnoses, genetic disorders and cardiac disease. The NICU is a center for advanced lifesaving therapies for respiratory support including ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, high frequency and conventional ventilation for the term and preterm infant.
