Nutrition & Fitness

Children’s National Medical Center’s Healthy Schools Program partners with the District of Columbia Public Schools, Department of Health, and Physical Education and Athletics to improve the health and well-being of children in the District of Columbia.

NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo
Children’s provides the child-focused “Healthy Kids” section of the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo held annually at the Washington Convention Center. This event offers a variety of interactive displays and exhibits that promote healthy lifestyles and fitness.

The exhibit features Kids’ Kitchen, where children learn about healthy eating and participate in preparing healthy snacks.

Kids also can participate in fitness demonstrations.
