Citywide Pediatric Health Forums
To date, three forums convened on May 11, 2010; October 22, 2010; and February 25, 2011.
Close to 100 individuals, representing more than 40 organizations, from across the city have committed to making a difference for children in the city by attending and actively pursuing a priority action agenda. The group has identified the following key pediatric health indicators:
- Asthma
- Injury Prevention/Violence
- Mental Health (Developmental Delays and Substance Abuse)
- Obesity/Overweight
- Oral Health
- Sexual Reproductive Health (STI's, Teen Pregnancy, HIV)
- Systematic Issues-Built Environment
At the last meeting, held on February 25, 2011 attendees reviewed the priority agenda that outlined strategies to address the health indicators outlined above.
