Now, our reach has expanded from our immediate community to impact children across the United States and throughout the world. We have built a team of world-renowned physicians known for their clinical expertise. Together our team collaborates in the spirit of innovation to find solutions to advance pediatric health.
Highlights from the 2010 Annual Report:
Impact.
For 140 years, the nation’s children’s hospital has been a leading healthcare provider both regionally and nationally. Children’s National has a longstanding history of providing world-class care for all children suffering from serious health issues. As we look to the future, we look forward to expanding our reach and expertise to serve not only the nation’s children, but those children around the globe.
Expertise.
Nurses at Children’s National have a legacy of commitment to the health and well-being of children. For more than 100 years they have served the pediatric population across a continuum of care. More than 1,600 nurses work closely with other healthcare professionals, bringing expertise and compassion to every patient they treat, and always putting the needs of children first.
Innovation.
Innovative research is integrated into the care delivered at Children’s National. Each day, scientists on the top floors of the main campus work to solve the mysteries of childhood injury and illness. In particular, The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation is driven by big ideas and a spirit of innovation.
