Children's National Medical Center Specialists Named "Best Doctors" by Northern Virginia Magazine

Washington, DC—Sixty-six doctors from Children’s National Medical Center were honored as the region’s "Best Doctors" in the February 2009 issue of Northern Virginia magazine. Children’s National is the only medical center in the greater metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to pediatric care. Through the Children's National Medical Center - Sheikh Zayed Campus for Advanced Children's Medicine, primary care clinics, and seven outpatient centers located across the region, Children’s National offers more than 50 pediatric specialty care programs and departments.
 According to Northern Virginia magazine, to determine the "Best Doctors in America®," surveyors conduct continuous peer-to-peer inquiries, asking physicians to nominate specialists they consider most qualified for reviewing and treating complex medical conditions. The survey ensures impartial results through anonymous and confidential polling and balloting. Furthermore, no doctors are paid to be included in the database, and the Best Doctors Inc.® surveyors do not pay doctors to participate in the polling survey.
"The ranking of our physicians through this survey indicates that Children’s National specialists are highly regarded by their peers in the community," said Edwin K.
