What information do I need to provide to obtain an estimate of cost?

What will my out of pocket expense be?
This will be varied by insurance company. Our Transparency Analyst is available to help estimate that amount for you.
What if the actual charges exceed the estimate I was given?
If the variance is less than 20% of the estimate, Children’s National will honor the original estimate. If the variance is greater than 20% Children’s National will conduct an audit to determine the reason for the additional cost. The family would be responsible for some portion of the variance.
How long will it take to get an estimate of cost?
For outpatient services – 2 business days, surgery – 5 business days and inpatient – 5 business days.
What is the estimate of charges for surgical procedures?
