Understanding Your Billing Statement

Green statement
This statement is the first hospital bill that will include a summary of charges. You will only receive one of these for each date of service. The exception to this is if your child is having therapy services and is categorized as a “recurring patient”. In that case, you will have one account that spans an entire month.

Blue statement
This is a balance forward statement of any new activity recorded under that account number (cross reference against green statement). You will receive these until the balance due for this date of service is resolved or the account is referred for collections.

Purple statement
This is the physician bill. All services are billed on one statement for all children associated with a parent. If each parent has a guarantor account, then there will be two separate statements. This statement is also a balance forward statement and only new activity since the last printing will be included. This includes new services, payments and adjustments.
