Training Program - Pharmacy Post Graduate Year Two Residency Training

Description How to Apply Benefits Contracts Length of Training
The Children's National Medical Center Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to provide a highly motivated resident an excellent opportunity for learning in a demanding and progressive environment. The program offers a great variety of advanced pediatric pharmacy experiences. Under the supervision of the rotation preceptor, the Residency Program Director, the Residency Program Coordinator, and the Chief of Pharmacy Services, meets the objectives and performance criteria for all rotations as outlined in the instructional goals and objectives document while applying a thorough understanding and knowledge of drugs and medication therapy. Resident will identify an area of focus from one of core modules: (1) Intensive care pharmacy (including emergency department); (2) Hematology/oncology pharmacy (including bone marrow transplant); or (3) General pediatric clinical pharmacy (including infectious diseases). Depending on the resident’s prior experience and customized training plan, module length may vary from 4 to 8 weeks.

The Division of Pharmacy is affiliated with Howard University School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Virginia Commonwealth University and Shenandoah University and other pharmacy schools around the country.
