Keynote: “The Role of the Emergency Department in Youth Violence Prevention”

Dr. Wright, senior vice president at Children’s National Medical Center and a professor of pediatrics, emergency medicine and health policy, is immediate past and inaugural chair of the AAP Violence Prevention Subcommittee.  He is lead co-author of “The Role of the Pediatrician in Youth Violence Prevention” policy statement and a leading national spokesperson on the issue of bullying and bullying prevention.  He has been a select participant in the Federal Bullying Summit(s) and serves as an advisor to the Sesame Street Workshop Child Resilience Initiative. Dr. Wright is an inductee to Delta Omega, the nation’s public health honor society.
