Children's National Health Network:
Member Program and Benefits

If you have any questions about these programs or services, contact CNHN at 202-476-2727 or by e-mail at dnsmith@cnmc.org.

Group Discounted Vaccines
By working as a group, CNHN member pediatricians and practices enjoy the region’s best vaccine pricing. Children’s contracts offer significant savings to our CNHN practices. CNHN has agreements with the following strategic partners:

  • Sanofi Pasteur
  • Merck

Requirements: Member practices must participate according to contract terms to be eligible for CNHN discount pricing and contract participation.

Group Discounted Office and Medical Supplies
By participating in CNHN group purchase agreements, member practices can be more successful by reducing practice expense and overhead for office supplies. CNHN has contracts with the following strategic partners:

  • Corporate Express – Corporate discount pricing, next day delivery and superior customer service for office supplies.

Educational and Practice Management Seminars
CNHN sponsors and provides regular educational programs for member pediatricians, office managers and key staff. Depending on the event, CNHN members receive complimentary or discounted admission.

  • Pediatric Practice Management Seminar – Held annually each fall for pediatricians, office managers and key staff, CNHN practices share best practices for coding and management success. In recent sessions, local and national guest speakers highlighted basic and advanced coding, telephone care reimbursement, retail-based clinics, and “pay-for-performance” readiness.
  • Future of Pediatrics Conference – Held annually each spring for pediatricians and pediatric specialists, CNHN sponsors a full-day CME program for community pediatricians highlighting practical clinical challenges seen in practice settings. The annual reception, trade exhibition and dinner with keynote speaker follows.

Pediatric Practice Job Board
CNHN posts community pediatric practice opportunities on Children’s web site. Practice listings are posted free of charge for CNHN member practices.

Refer a Patient to Children's National Medical Center
CNHN is committed to helping Children’s specialists and CNHN community pediatricians improve referral access and clinical communication and collaboration for the patients we share.

  • Children’s Physician-to-Physician Access Line – To assist with urgent clinical management questions or referrals, CNHN pediatricians can contact CNMC specialists 24/7 at 202-476-4880.
  • Children’s Emergency Communication System – We urge area pediatricians to register an e-mail address with us for Children’s Emergency Communication System. This system will facilitate rapid dissemination of critical information for area pediatricians in the event of a local health emergency. Please contact CNHN at 202-476-2727 or dnsmith@cnmc.org with your e-mail address.
  • CNHN Pediatrician Referrals  Find a Doctor   – Parents are increasingly using the internet to find pediatricians. Parents visiting Children’s web site can use Children’s “Find a Doctor” to search for a pediatrician who best meets their specified selection criteria or preferences. All CNHN member pediatricians are listed in the "Find a Doctor" database, which provides parents contact information for each practice.
