Biography

Dr. Zaidi is a Board Certified pediatric pulmonologist and attending physician in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center and consultant physician at the Hospital for Sick Children Pediatric Center. She specializes in clinical pediatric pulmonary disease including asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity (BPD), cystic fibrosis, ventilator dependent patients due to chronic respiratory insufficiency and flexible bronchoscopy. Dr. Zaidi has published original scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and has presented her work in national and international scientific meetings. She also has an active interest in traditional forms of medicine (also known as ‘complementary and alternative’ medicine). She is presently studying breathing and other techniques found in Indian and Chinese medicine to understand their role in pediatric respiratory health and disease. Outside the office, she enjoys taking care of her family, yoga and meditation, hiking in nature and classical Indian music.
