Biography

Nathan Dean, MD, is a pediatric critical care intensivist at Children's National with a clinical interest in neurocritical care. He is originally from Ohio, but grew up in Rockville, MD. Dr. Dean came to Children's in 2007 from Saint Louis Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Dean has two children, a daughter and son, with a new son on the way. His hobbies include cooking and competitive swimming (Masters). Dr. Dean swam the 4.4 Chesapeake Bay Bridge Swim in 2007 and 2008, finishing 6th in his age group in 2008.
