Biography

David J Mathison, MD MBA is an attending physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Services at Children's National Medical Center. His practice focuses on the use of technology to improve patient education, the quality of patient care, and clinical efficiency in the emergency department. Dr. Mathison also serves as the associate director of the pediatric transport team to help coordinate the 5000 annual ambulance and helicopter transports to Children's National. Dr. Mathison is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians. He lectures on various topics including: pediatric trauma, dermatology, and educational technology. He completed his residency and chief residency at Northwestern University's Children's Memorial Hospital and his fellowship at Children's National. Dr. Mathison is a native of Rockville, MD and currently resides in Washington, DC with his wife and dog.
