Biography
Stephen J. Teach, MD, MPH, is associate chief of Emergency Medicine and the associate director of the Center for Clinical and Community Research at Children’s National. Dr. Teach’s primary academic focus is on the disparities evident in the care of inner-city children with asthma, including their over-reliance on urban emergency departments for episodic asthma care. He is principal investigator and medical director of IMPACT DC, Improving Pediatric Asthma Care in the District of Columbia, an asthma surveillance and intervention program in Washington, and serves as the Washington, DC site Principal Investigator for the NIAID funded Inner City Asthma Consortium.
