Biography
Kelly Hutcheson, MD, is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist at Children’s National Medical Center. Her clinical interests include retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, genetic disease, and pediatric cataract surgery.

Dr. Hutcheson has maintained an active research focus. She has grant funding to study retinopathy of prematurity, and has participated in 2 NIH-sponsored national clinical trials related to this disease.

Dr. Hutcheson has served on several national committees, including for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the Ophthalmology Expert Committee for the United States Pharmacopoeia. She maintains an active role in the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Hutcheson has academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at University of Maryland and George Washington University.
