Biography
Brian Richard Rood, MD, is the medical director of the Pediatric Advanced Needs Assessment (PANDA Care Team) and a member of the Neuro-Oncology Program at Children's National Medical Center. Dr. Rood also is a board member of the DC Pediatric Palliative Care Collaboration.

Dr. Rood's primary clinical and research interest is brain tumors. He is the chair of a multi-institutional study of cerebrospinal fluid proteomics for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium.

Dr. Rood has two children. His favorite past times include designing and building furniture, sailing, reading, and playing the mandolin.
