Biography
Cynthia Gingalewski, MD, is board certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery and is an pediatric surgeon at Children’s National Medical Center. She is also an assistant professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the George Washington University Medical Center.

Dr. Gingalewski is an Avery Research scholar, the highest research scholarship offered by Children’s Research Institute. Her research interests focus on necrotizing enterocolitis, a life-threatening disease process that affects newborns. She has established a track record of outstanding and innovative research and is the recipient of more than $350,000 in funding for this subject including an NIH grant.

Dr. Gingalewski has authored or co-authored more than 40 publications, book chapters, and abstracts.
