Biography
Lawrence J. D’Angelo received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Doctorate from Duke University. His master’s degree in Public Health was earned at Harvard University as well. Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. was the site for both his residency and internship. In 1979 a residency in Preventive Medicine was also completed at the Centers for Disease Control. D’Angelo still holds his position as a tenured professor of Medicine, Health Care Sciences, Prevention and Community Health and Epidemiology at George Washington University. Presently, Dr. D’Angelo is the executive director for The Diana L. and Stephen A. Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health and Section Chair for the Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. D’Angelo has worked on numerous publications informing medical practitioners and patients on infectious diseases, eating disorders, and other health risk.
