Children with Special Health Care Needs Resource & Referral Services The Children with Special Health Care Needs Resource & Referral Services is a project funded by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office for Genetics and Children with Special Health Care Needs. The goal of the project is to help children with special health care needs (CSHCNS) families’ and providers to find resources in Maryland’s communities and CNMC system and to refer them to those services.
The Children with Specials Health Care Needs Liaison can help families and the providers find the following resources:
- Respite care
- Child care
- Disease-specific information
- Education resources
- Financial assistance & funding
- Medical assistance
- Transportation
- Family support groups
- Equipment resources
- Social services - Departments & Programs - Children's National Medical Center
