A specialist at Children’s National for more than 30 years, Division Chief Naomi L.C. Luban, MD, leads a multidisciplinary team of dedicated physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and physical therapists.

Potomac Power
We also know the best care means treating a whole person, not simply an illness. Children’s Division of Hematology and Division of Oncology, bring teens with cancer together through an exciting program called Potomac Power.
To counter the isolation and difficulties our young patients often face during cancer treatment, Potomac Power promotes social support and peer relationships through fun group activities around the Washington, DC, area, like going to a baseball game, the movies, or dinner.
Support for Families at Children’s National
When a child is ill, we recognize that it affects the entire family. Hematology patients and their families can request assistance through the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Patient and Family Support Program. The program provides comprehensive mental health and psychosocial services and resources for all patients, their parents, and siblings.
