The Childhood and Adolescent Diabetes Program
The division’s diabetes program uses a team approach to provide comprehensive care to children and teens with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and to patients with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes.
The program focuses on education and teaching patients and their families how to cope with all aspects of diabetes and its management. The team includes diabetes nurse educators, a dietitian, clinical psychologists, and a nurse who specializes in training patients and families in insulin pump therapy.
