The International Center to Heal Our Children: Training
Forums/Speakers Bureau/Workshops
The International Center to Heal Our Children (ICHOC) seeks to educate and empower healthcare and mental health professionals, teachers, child care providers, first responders, and parents groups with the tools they need to identify and treat the symptoms of trauma among children. The ICHOC has developed resources and workshops for professionals and parents focusing on helping children cope after traumatic events. With ICHOC training, participants can learn to identify the children at greatest risk for acquiring post-traumatic stress disorder and help improve access to mental health services by early referral to appropriate services for those children most in need of professional expertise. For more information, call 202-476-2434 or e-mail the International Center to Heal Our Children.
