Referral Guidelines

Preventive Cardiology
All patients with any of the following items are encouraged to follow up with a preventive cardiologist:
  • Total cholesterol > 200mg/dL
  • LDL > 130 mg/dL
  • Tryglycerides > 250mg/dL
  • Triglycerides/HDL >2.5 and non-HDL >145mg/dL

Obese patients, hypertensive patients who do not meet the criteria below are encouraged to call Carmenita Lyles at 202-436-3065 to schedule an appointment at the IDEAL clinic.
