Pediatric Gynecology Program
The Pediatric Gynecology Program at Children’s National Medical Center is one of a few hospitals nationally that offers experts in both pediatric surgery and gynecology. Led by a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist with an expertise in Pediatric Gynecology, Children’s National’s Pediatric Gynecology Program works closely with other pediatric specialists to provide patients and families with comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
Children’s National’s Pediatric Gynecology Program sees patients with the following conditions:

- Management of Menstruation in girls with bleeding disorders

- Lichen Sclerosus
- Pelvic Masses

- Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome

The Pediatric Gynecology Program does not provide care for breast masses. Patients with breast masses should be seen by the Division of General and Thoracic Surgery. Patients needing services for suspected sexual abuse are seen in the Freddie Mac Foundation Child & Adolescent Protection Center.
