Craniofacial Program
The Craniofacial Program at the Children’s National Medical Center brings together a staff of 12 pediatric experts from 10 disciplines. Unlike other craniofacial specialists, the team at Children’s devotes 100 percent of its time to pediatric cases. Two of its plastic surgeons are among only a dozen in the nation who dedicate their entire practice to the care of children.
Children with deformities involving the growth of the head and face—conditions known as “craniofacial anomalies”— often have multiple problems that require the expertise of a multidisciplinary team.
