Treatment includes an assortment of diagnostic tests, including biopsies, fungal cultures, and hair examinations, as well as a full range of medical and surgical procedures, such as liquid nitrogen cryosurgery, electrodesiccation of lesions, surgery for moles and skin cancer, and laser surgery for lesions and birthmarks which are vascular.

In addition to its own staff of skin experts, the department also has access to a full range of other pediatric subspecialists. - Departments & Programs - Children's National Medical Center
