Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology - Research Children’s Research Institute boasts world-renowned faculty members that excel in translational medicine, taking the research from the labs on the top floors of the hospital to the clinical floors below. Children’s multidisciplinary approach to research and medicine allows for scientists in different research centers to study specific areas of interest. With this collaboration, scientists are able to make cutting-edge discoveries and strides in the studies of childhood diseases.
Children’s Division of Imaging and Radiology actively participates in research to not only help our patients to the best of our ability through current technology, but to improve the way that patients are diagnosed and treated.
Children’s follows strict national research guidelines, including requirements for patient privacy, confidentiality and justice. Our patients are informed about ongoing research and must consent to participate. All research proposals must be approved by an internal review board comprised of a selected group of expert peers.
