Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition works closely with other areas of expertise at Children’s National Medical Center to ensure patients receive comprehensive care to manage their conditions. The team of physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists offer a full spectrum of GI consultations, procedures, nutritional support, and care for children who are in the hospital, as well as those who visit the Regional Outpatient Centers.

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition has many programs and clinics that offer children and families specialized care for their unique needs. Programs include: Children’s National treats a wide range of conditions, including:

    • Biliary disorders
      • Gall bladder problems

    • Inflammatory Bowel Disease Syndrome, including:
